OUR STORY
The "UNYUM LWTHE CHARITABLE SOCIETY", headquartered in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, was founded to promote charitable activities across the state, the north eastern region, and beyond. Registered under Section 3 of the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (as modified by the Societies Registration [Extension to Arunachal Pradesh] Act, 1978), the society was formed through the collective efforts of individuals passionate about creating lasting social change.
The idea for the society emerged from a deep desire to honour the selfless contributions of social workers and address the needs of underserved communities. Despite facing challenges such as limited resources and logistical hurdles in remote areas, the founders remained dedicated to their vision. Through unwavering commitment and collaboration, the society was brought to life, driven by the belief that every effort toward social service is worthy of recognition.
Key initiatives of the society include creating a memorial garden to celebrate the work of social workers, establishing a primary school to provide quality education, building healthcare facilities to improve medical access, constructing a multipurpose hall for community events, and developing a burial ground to offer dignified resting places for the departed.
